Thursday, September 15th, 2011Nevada Cement Company in Fernley, NV, has been awarded by Barrick Gold of North America a three year cement supply contract. Barrick Gold has been in the mining business since 1983 and is the largest gold mining company by production and reserves. Nevada Cement will be supplying product to various Barrick Gold properties throughout the northern Nevada region.
The mining industry in Nevada has been beneficial to the support industries involved. Since the economic downturn gold mines have been the driving economic force in northern Nevada. This three year cement supply contract helps sustainable employment at Nevada Cement. Nevada Cement values the mining industry as we are a mining company and supplier.
