Like other industries in Nevada mining uses chemicals in its production processes. In the case of mining, chemicals are sometimes required to convert minerals extracted from the ground into materials needed to sustain our daily quality of life.

Compliance with numerous Federal, State, and local environmental laws and corresponding regulations is required for chemicals to be used in industries like manufacturing, dry cleaning, pharmaceuticals, municipal water treatment, agriculture, and yes, mining.  Nevertheless, it is the responsible handling and use of these chemicals by highly trained and skilled professionals that continuesto keep our employees, surrounding communities, and the environment safe.
