Speed Dating for Businesses…

The Nevada Mining Association and the Northeastern Nevada Regional Development Authority hosted the 3rd annual Elko Reverse Expo on March 14, 2018.

The expo is one of the NvMA’s most popular events, drawing in participants from all over the world. What makes it a can’t-miss occasion? Read below to learn more.

What is the Reverse Expo? What the Heck is the Reverse Expo 2018? - Nevada Mining Association - 1

The Reverse Expo is all about networking and bringing businesses together. Mine operators and vendors take part in a series of short, face-to-face meetings, introducing their companies and products. Think speed dating for businesses.

How do the meetings work?

Vendor companies participate in three pre-arranged meetings with mine operators. Each meeting is brief, lasting only eight minutes, but provides enough time to discover if there is a match between the two companies.

Who participates?

A record fourteen Nevada mine operators participated in 2018, ranging from well-known Nevada operators like Barrick Gold and Newmont, to companies just establishing their presence in the state. Operators send representatives who understand their mine’s needs and are key cogs in purchasing and contracting decisions.

What are the benefits?

The Reverse Expo presents a rare opportunity to meet face-to-face with multiple mine operators in one day. Instead of spending hours on calls and emails, vendors can directly meet with the people they want to speak with.

How do I make sure my company participates in the next Reverse Expo?

Simple. The easiest way to make sure you aren’t left out is to join the Nevada Mining Association. In addition to the to the Reverse Expo, the NvMA hosts several networking events throughout the year with the goal of helping your bottom line.
